Request for OHM/HONEY Reward Vault

Wanted to start a thread for community discussion around our first broposal / governance ask for the creation of an OHM/HONEY reward vault.

Additional Requirements:

  • Specify how many tokens you plan to allocate for incentives and over what period of time. 69,000 OHM in first 3 months - Can see this ratified on our Snapshot
  • Outline how decisions about token incentives are made (DAO, multi-sig, etc.). Association MS executes & handles details on behalf of mainnet governance
  • Incentive Manager address 0x91494D1BC2286343D51c55E46AE80C9356D099b5

6. Growth, Community & Ecosystem Impact

Why This Contract Matters:

  • How will this contract benefit Berachain? Olympus has brought a significant amount of protocol-owned liquidity to Berachain and intends to bring more, as well as build pools with ecosystem projects and help them reduce their cost of attracting liquidity through reward vault incentives.
  • Will it deepen liquidity for a major ecosystem token (e.g., BERA, core stable asset)? HONEY
  • Does it enable important trading pairs that drive adoption or integrate with other Berachain projects? Yes, OHM

Potential Volume / TVL:

  • Provide metrics or estimates on liquidity you expect to attract. $30-50m liquidity
  • Highlight any known liquidity commitments. (If you or partners plan to seed the contract, provide proof of funds or a statement of intent.) Olympus is approved to bring POL on Berachain up to $50m. - Can see this ratified on our Snapshot

Synergies with Other Protocols:

  • Will this contract feed into any yield aggregators, lending markets, or liquid staking derivatives on Berachain? No (that I know of)

Marketing / Promotion:

  • Are there plans to co-market with another project to bootstrap liquidity? Not for this pool

Long-Term Vision:

  • How could this reward vault evolve over time? (E.g., eventually becoming a core liquidity pair or a major stable pool for the chain.) Our intent is to make OHM the most liquid and utilized/routed asset on chain.

7. Verification

Please post the following text with the provided X account:

“Submitted Reward Vault Request for [Contract Name] on protocol [Protocol Name] with incentive tokens [incentive token 1], [incentive token 2]”

Insert post link - On Zeus’s Twitter

Final Reminder

A successful RFRV hinges on demonstrating:

  1. Security: Low smart contract and token risk.
  2. Demand: Community and liquidity providers want this pair.
  3. Ecosystem Benefit: Increases volume, TVL, or strategic positioning for Berachain.

Make sure to cover these points clearly to maximize your chances of passing the governance vote / RFRV!

Where can we see the details of the broposal?

That’s a great question. Let me get some info on proper decorum 'cause they are formally submitted via a Typeform and then go into the great Berabeyond but, I’ll find out if its okay to just post the contents of that here as well or if there is some other method we should follow.

Submitted with links rugged. That said, should cover all the details of the ask and happy to field any questions that might be missed.

Is this a misprint?

Specify how many tokens you plan to allocate for incentives and over what period of time. 69,000 OHM in first 3 months

No ser. Not a misprint. There was approval of up to 2,000,000 OHM in incentive for FY25. OHM/HONEY will be a core pool. OHM/BERA will be another, though will keep scope narrowed to OHM/HONEY for his proposal.

You can see it ratified here:

+1 YEH BOI.

69k ohm!?!?!? Ooggggaaaa booogaaaa

Pool has been whitelisted

Good Afternoon! In the spirit of transparency, we would like to memorialize a handful of modifications we will be making to this pool such that we are in compliance with the guidance socialized here: Berachain Governance Update: New RFRV Standards & A Clearer Path Forward | Berachain Blogs

  • Reduction in Protocol Owned Liquidity: The OHM/HONEY rewards vault TVL currently sits at $142m. We mark 40% of that at 56.8m and our current POL is ~$85.3m. As such, we will be removing $40-$50m in POL and returning it to reserves. This will keep us in compliance on the new 40% cap.

  • We continue to incentivize the vault daily with OHM and iBGT and will move forward with that plan, just adjusted to reflect the 40% and with a continued focus on cost recovery.

Due to this, we expect the yield of the pool to go up until such time it is diluted by net new third parties.

This capital flowing back into reserves will also produce additional yield to the protocol via the eminent Olympus Morpho Lending Vault against Pendle PT’s. These proceeds will further fund YRF (Yield Repo) resulting in increased buybacks of OHM.

Happy to answer any questions that may arise, but just wanted to place our explicit intentions here.

Ooga Booga.

These modifications have been made and we will continue monitor capacity to ensure we’re in compliance. Appreciate everybody’s patience as we make these changes.
