5. Incentive Tokens

Only up to three tokens can be whitelisted for use as incentives in a Reward Vault. Indicate which tokens will be used and provide all relevant information below.

Required Data for Incentive Tokens:

Incentive Token #1

Name
BERA

Additional Requirements:

Specify how many tokens per week you plan to allocate for incentives
Up to 1k WBERA / week

Specify for how many weeks you plan to allocate incentives
Min. 10 weeks

Outline how decisions about token incentives are made (DAO, multi-sig, etc.).
Multisig

Incentive Manager address (this address will manage the incentive token, being able to add incentive tokens to the reward vault and change the incentive rate)
0x21802b7C3DF57e98df45f1547b0F1a72F2CD1aED

Incentive Token #2

  • Name: Wrapped Solana
  • Symbol: wSOL

Additional Requirements:

Specify how many tokens per week you plan to allocate for incentives
This pool will be enabled for Kodiak’s Auto-BGT program, which means a portion of the wSOL trading fees liquidity providers would traditionally earn will be redirected as sustainable incentives for this Reward Vault.

Specify for how many weeks you plan to allocate incentives
For as long as the Auto-BGT mechanism is turned on and is efficient.

Outline how decisions about token incentives are made (DAO, multi-sig, etc.).

6. Growth, Community & Ecosystem Impact

Why This Contract Matters:

How will this contract benefit Berachain?
The SOL-HONEY pool strengthens Berachain’s DeFi infrastructure by deepening liquidity for two major assets (HONEY, a core ecosystem token, and wSOL, a widely-used base asset in crypto).

Will it deepen liquidity for a major ecosystem token (e.g., BERA, core stable asset)?
Yes, Honey

Does it enable important trading pairs that drive adoption or integrate with other Berachain projects?
Yes, enables Solana liquidity and trading volume on Berachain.

Potential Volume / TVL:

Provide metrics or estimates on liquidity you expect to attract.
$1m+ in TVL

Highlight any known liquidity commitments. (If you or partners plan to seed the contract, provide proof of funds or a statement of intent.)
Min. $100k+ from partners and treasury

Synergies with Other Protocols:

Will this contract feed into any yield aggregators, lending markets, or liquid staking derivatives on Berachain?
Yes.

Marketing / Promotion:

Are there plans to co-market with another project to bootstrap liquidity?
Yes.

Long-Term Vision:

How could this reward vault evolve over time? (E.g., eventually becoming a core liquidity pair or a major stable pool for the chain.)

Enabling Berachainn to offer the best yields for SOL asset.

7. Verification

Post on X:

Hi team, at the time of review, the following concerns were identified:

• Pool liquidity is below minimum required threshold (Minimum of USD 100,000)
• The major staking asset in the pool (HONEY) does not meet the minimum liquidity requirement of $50,000
• The second incentive token, wSOL, lacks sufficient liquidity and is not currently tradable in a pool with at least $50,000 in a major asset

Please note that the following feedback doesn’t represent the opinions of the BGT Foundation. It is contextual feedback from the Bera ecosystem team with respect to publicly stated guidelines.

With the following changes implemented, this application should be a better candidate for a Reward Vault.

Given that this vault hasn’t gotten much size yet, would you be willing to make this a staked version of SOL? Then there would be yield attached to the underlying, and yield that is also diversified away from the Berachain economy. It would also have the benefit of passively increasing the TVL of the pool overall.

Hi Bera Labs Team,

There is now $100k+ in pool liquidity and $50k+ in Honey liquidity.

This can be checked here: Kodiak Finance

These updated metrics should address all the concerns.

Hey - Berastotle from Kodiak here:

  1. In general, there should be base liquidity in the base asset first, as they have usually an order of magnitude more trading volumes. This is because only the base asset has liquidity and volumes on other venues (eg CEX) and diverse pairs (eg all SOL memecoins). Furthermore, base SOL is far easier to integrate in lending protocols, even without huge on-chain liquidity on Berachain, due to being able to price against cex sources.

  2. Staked SOL LST is not issued by Kodiak, therefore it requires working with and attracting a particular asset issuer to come deploy, build, and incentivize on Berachain. At this time, no staked Solana issuers have expressed willingness to expand and incentivize on Berachain. We are certainly open to growing it when we’ve already established SOL utility in the Berachain ecosystem.

We think we can grow strong base asset liquidity without reliance on incentives from external asset issuers, at least initially. This effect is already apparent on Berachain, with far more liquidity and volumes in WETH and WBTC compared to staked/restaked versions (eg STONE or beraETH), whose liquidity tends not be sticky after incentives from those external asset issuers dwindle.
